Cannabis on the Daily - Staying Healthy and Preventing Illness

Cannabis Boxer

It is no secret that cannabis possesses some incredibly beneficial properties. The plant has been used for millennia to treat a huge variety of conditions that affect both physical and mental health - but why only make use of this incredible plant to fix, when you could use it to prevent?

For years, researchers and physicians alike have been trying to point healthy individuals to the possibility of using Cannabis as a simple, daily preventative medicine - there’s been no shortage of scientific backing in terms of the cannabis plant’s natural disease-preventing abilities.

Doctors and dietitians say all the time that simply eating right and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the best medicine of all to maintain long-term health. Of course, this is because healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, and leafy greens are low in disease-causing ingredients (like cholesterol), and high in essential vitamins, phytonutrients and antioxidants that work to keep our bodies functioning right; which is also why we promote a more plant-based lifestyle.

It may be difficult to imagine that one plant could possess even a quarter of the wide variety of essential nutrients that exist; however, the cannabis plant overflows when it comes to nutritional information - making it arguably one of the most nutrient dense plants to exist.

Research has shown that the specific antioxidants found in cannabidiol (CBD) are more powerful than vitamins E and C in terms of physiological function – this translates to a wealth of disease-preventing characteristics.

It’s long been known that cannabis is an excellent anti-inflammatory with specific properties that work to reduce the risk of metabolic disorders, nerve cell degeneration, and more - in fact, cannabis has been shown to promote the creation of new nerve cells.

Cannabis oil contains many essential vitamins and minerals, fatty acids, fiber, protein, chlorophyll, flavonoids, and terpenes, adding critical nutrients to your system; while being both dairy & gluten free. Cannabis activates the brain’s cannabinoid system, which triggers an antioxidant release, these antioxidants act as a “cleaner” and remove damaged cells from the body; while also improving the efficiency of the healthy cells in our body.

The most efficient way to get the full benefit of the cannabis plant is through ingesting Whole Plant(B.C.O) or Full Spectrum Extraction Cannabis oil(F.E.CO). Whole Plant cannabis oil refers to oil that features all of the cannabinoids and other compounds present in the Cannabis plant - providing an all natural oil that allows the compounds in the plant to work together in what is called the entourage effect.

At the Kushader Co we strongly believe in the entourage effect and the benefits of whole plant extraction; and as such, we only produce whole plant extraction oils- namely Black Cannabis Oil (B.C.O) and Full Extract Cannabis Oil (F.E.C.O), and do not focus on isolated cannabanoids like CBD only.

Typically, the following would be found in a Whole Plant Extraction Cannabis oil:

Complete Protein

Rich source of fiber

Flavonoids

Essential oils

Magnesium

Calcium

Phosphorous

Carbohydrates

Insoluble fiber

Beta-carotene

Phosphorous

Potassium

Magnesium

Sulphur

Calcium

Iron

Zinc

Vitamins E, C, B1, B3, B6

High in Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids

Cannabis has been proven to lower long-term risk for:

  • Bone Disease - Studies have shown that cannabinoids can increase bone metabolism (the process by which old bone material is replaced by new tissue) by up to 10% each year.

  • Neurodegeneration (e.g Nephropathy and Alzheimer’s) - Cannabis is a known neuroprotectant, which means that it reinforces the protective tissues which block neurons from degenerative attacks

  • Skin Disease/Deterioration - The antioxidants found in cannabis have made it a highly recommended treatment for long-term skin health, especially when used internally in conjunction with topical application.

  • Obesity and Diabetes - Frequent cannabis users have been known to have a lower BMI, lower waist size, and a lower prevalence of obesity-related disorders. It was shown in a study that across 52,000 individuals, the rate of obesity is about 33% less common in cannabis users then non-cannabis users.

  • Heart Disease - Frequent cannabis users tend to have significantly higher levels of good cholesterol (HDL-C), and significantly lower levels of bad cholesterol (LDL-C). Daily use of cannabis oil may directly lead to an increase in cardiovascular health and the long-term prevention of cardiovascular disease like atherosclerosis.

  • General Inflammation - The endocannabinoid system (ECS) engages on a molecular level with nearly every cell, organ, and tissue type in the body to reduce on-site inflammation, and the use of cannabis oil has been proven to stimulate the ECS, reducing the risk of inflammation-induced diseases and disorders.

...And so much more. The above are just a few examples of the preventative powers of Cannabis - Why wouldn’t you add a B.C.O supplement to your daily health regime?
